That's the way I play too there CK, I focus primarily on
BetMost, for the PI events, "nibs", & to put up RH's for my team (The "EH" Team, winner of April's comp...just tootin our horn ;)!). On
BM, I try to stick to the sng's & only will play 5 & 7 card stud in the rings, somethings micro-limits in the NL or limit, I find unless you have deep pockets, best not to risk your BR get into it on the NL tables (too many crazies).
Also I'll play on CDPoker on this network....it's basicly the same as
BM, but I've found much more (& better) success here, as well as I find thier support & on site promos better (I get quarterly emails from them giving me $$$ & tickets + reload bonuses without asking), also they still have a weekly $1000 points buy-in tournament & a 500pt buy-in qually for the $250,000 G/P. And as it's on the same network as
BM I have the same opinion on the rings.
On both of these sites I find the reload bonuses are great and easiest to cash in on (if your vip status is high enough).
Next, I'll play @Hollywood, I like this site of all the ones on this network (Poker room has been taken over by Bwin, see my Bwin takes over PokerRoom discussion)...I had success in different events here & I like thier steps free-roll system (a very easy way to build a br from zero) & the cheap pts tournaments there, the rings aren't too bad (ring limit & nl, are not my game) & I have found some success on them. The sng action is ok...the thing that I've alway had problems with here (& on this network in general), it's very hard to cash in on thier reload bonuses. they also are short on micro-limit (nl) sng's (nothing under $1)
I like to play on a lot of smaller rooms as well, one is Tiger Gaming, there's never more than 3000 players online there (& only when they have a free roll going), but it's where I cut my teeth playin online poker during the lock-out season in the NHL (like the majority of Canadian's did).
I like thier free rolls & have built many a bank rolls off of them!!! I like thier very cheap WSoP steps as well (sometimes starting as cheap as .05!!!)
I also was given $15 (by a bud, ty, I'm still grindin away with it ;)!!!)to sign up on another small room that was just starting up called Minted, there's never much traffic there now, but it's alway good to get in on the ground floor, if they do take off, sites tend to be good to players that start up with them. So when take that into consideration, cause it can take some time to get a sng going (6 seaters, never tried a 10, cause as on all small rooms unless there's a FR going, there less than 500 players there), but the graffics are nice and you have the option to boot the dealer and choose from 3 others, they to have a nice selection of FR's & steps tournament & they've moved to more Omaha sng's (with micro's) so with a small br you've got a selection to play on!
Next on my list is a site that took over Dream Poker (where I originally was) called GNUF, I got an email one day about a year ago from telling me that I still had a couple of bucks in my account there (?), not knowing of the take-over, I went to see what was up. After tweekin' my memory for my PW & log-in, I found everything basicly the same. They have a GREAT selection of free rolls cover almost every type of poker, Stud, Omaha, Draw & both NL & Limit all day long. All free rolls are set up so that if you have put up raked has in the previous 24hr, you get more chip to start with. They have just removed thier super-micro sng's, but I like being able to load my own avitar...overall I rank this site as best for OPEN Free roll's (mind you they are full, 6000-12,000 players, so make sure you got the time!!). BTW, on the first day I returned to them I reg'd for 2 fr's (5 card draw, bubbled outta that one 353/4500, NL & got 175/6000), so I've started my re-build there now...lol
I've played on Pacific...well it's ntb, I found the sng action to be VERY tight as well as the MTT's. I didn't spend much time in the rings there, I found few players on the stud tables as well...I did like the Score Wolrd Series event they ran for Canadians and had an ok result, I made it through the 2 quallies, the finale, but couldn't crack the pay-out! I still have an active account there, but not much time to play there.
I'll play the Canadian at FTP & have a start of a BR from that, I like the sng's action there and being it's one of the few sites that take US players, it's nice to have them around again (teeheehee). I haven't had the BR to check out the rings there (yet), but when I get some time on them I'll let you know what I think of them too...
I've let both my accounts at Poker Stars & Party Poker die, Poker Stars was ok but I just couldn't getter going there and with success elsewhere, why chase?
Party Poker, I had some decent cash-outs, but found (at the time) the selection of sng's was very poor, so I only would play the Canadian FR's...I'd play one a week, but I recieved an email from them telling me that my account was dormient and would be charged $1.97 (my balance)...I told them to keep it! And they closed my account....
Those are my active accounts...GL & see ya out there!!!
