Canadian Poker Tour to be broadcast online

Canadian Poker Tour has launched an online TV network which will cover major Canadian poker events across the country. The broadcasting will begin in the fourth quarter of 2009.

CanadianPokerPlayer.tv, under ownership of HeadsUp Entertainment, will feature coverage of major Canadian poker events but also give a glimpse behind the scenes at life on the Canadian poker tournament circuit. HeadsUp Entertainment president Kelly B. Kellner commented:

"Players and fans alike will have an innovative and effective means to pursue their interest in the sport and we couldn't be more excited."

Canadian Poker Tour is known for attracting top pros, especially the Canadian Open Championship which saw a Canadian Benjamin Leblond outlasting pros like Brad Booth, Phil Hellmuth and Jeff Madsen in this year's heads-up event to claim the $100,000 first place prize.
