I think that alot of it is going to depend on the people at the table. Yes in general there is too much calling at the micro stakes, so you'll want to make people pay to make their draws. You'll want to pay attention to the number of people in the hand and what kind of players you know them to be. As with any level of poker, you must learn to not fall in love with your hand and be able to let them go.
In general I think it's always good to bet your hand, its going to build your pot making it more valuable in the end. Obviously this doesn't apply to times when you are trapping. Poker is very situational, so no one answer is going to cover every situation
